Resident Evil 9 will surely mark some kind of reimagining of Capcom’s stalwart survival horror series. RE7 was a worthy experiment - I personally didn’t like it, at all, but at least it was trying something. Village on the other hand was a mess, and proof proper that Resident Evil needs stripping down again. We have to go back to basics: city, zombies, T-Virus. The rumored Code Veronica remake could be good, but RE needs fresh stories. Based on a new video from Capcom to mark the sales of RE4 Remake, it seems that Resident Evil 9 - in whatever form it may take - could finally be real.
