Everyone Gets Free Rewards Just For Choosing Sides In Splitgate 2’s Splitgate Showdown

Over the next 10 days, 1047 Games is hosting a special event in Splitgate 2. Three teams of content creators will be competing in the F2P team shooter’s Splitgate Showdown event, and players can take part by choosing a team to support. The players won’t be competing themselves, but they will be the ones receiving prizes.

Interestingly, 1047 has decided to give everyone who participates the same nine rewards, no matter which team they choose to support. If you’re wondering what the point is, it turns out that the teams’ win ranking determines what items are given out. Each team has four themed rewards: a sidearm, a charm, a banner, and a spray. Players will receive all four items for the team that comes in first place, three items for the team in second, and two items for the team in third. So, you’ll want your team to win so you can have the complete set, plus the five items from the other two teams.

Note that once you choose a team, you’re stuck with it. No swapping allowed if it looks like your team isn’t going to come out on top. And, well, it doesn’t really matter all that much if you’re going to get the same items anyway. So don’t stress it.
