Ex Star Wars Battlefront 2 dev lends support to rising calls for a sequel

Star Wars Battlefront 3 has long felt as far out of reach as fellow theoretical third entries such as Half-Life 3. The original Pandemic and Lucasarts games only managed a pair, and EA’s Battlefront 2 was met with a mixed reception at launch thanks to its microtransaction model. Post-launch support from EA and DICE, however, took great strides to improve it, and it now holds an 87% positive Steam rating. As player counts soar in the wake of Andor Season 2, a former developer says his team “want to get the gang back together” to make Battlefront 3.
