Today, Darkpaw Games released the 21st expansion for its free-to-play MMORPG EverQuest II. In addition to a long list of changes and improvements, the expansion continues the game’s story by sending players to explore the remains of Odus’ coastline, what lies beyond the barrier surrounding the Western Wastes, and eventually the Dragon Necropolis – all to defeat the dark forces stirring chaos across Norrath.
Titled “Scars of Destruction”, the update includes a level increase to 130, new quests, a mixture of raid content, and more. Among the new features in the game is a new type of inventory storage named the Petamorph Keyring. This allows players to store their petamorph wands and access them easily via the Keyrings tab in the persona window.
Players can also add particle effects to certain weapons without the need to use reforger NPCs. This means the modification can be done on the fly, using the “Apply Aura” menu option.
Also of note in this update are changes to timelocked servers. As of today, Age of Discovery has unlocked on the Varsoon Server. In addition, pets on timelocked servers share 30% of the caster’s crit bonus. More details on changes in the expansion can be found in the patch notes on the EverQuest II site.
