First Mobile Game In The Destiny Franchise Enters Closed Alpha Testing

The Destiny IP is expanding a bit with an upcoming mobile release developed by NetEase titled Destiny: Rising. Yes, we know what you’re thinking, isn’t Destiny Bungie’s? It is. NetEase has licensed the shooter IP for this purpose.

Today, the game entered Closed Alpha Testing in the U.S. and Canada. During the testing period, which lasts until December 5, testers will experience the prologue of the main story campaign (NetEase promises no spoilers), explore the Haven social space and Jiangshi Metro free roam area, and try out two Haven Ops Strike missions, three public events, and a 6-player raid-like Gauntlet mode.

While Closed Alpha has already started, registration is still open on the game’s site. As there’s a month of playtime during this test period, those interested in participating might want to go ahead and sign up.

On a side note, as this is a mobile-only offering, we likely won’t be covering it much, but as some of you might be interested, we thought we’d at least share it with you.
