Alright gang, we’re almost to the end of the Amphoreus storyline in Honkai: Star Rail… I think? You know what? Considering how Penacony went, I probably don’t want to make assertions like that. But, hey, at least the Astral Express gang is going to see each other again. Just… not as they were before. Someone is about to pay for our emotional damage.
Today, HoYoverse dropped the Special Program for Version 3.6 “Back to Earth in Evernight”, offering players a look at what’s to come in the free-to-play action RPG. A brief look, anyway. They’re not trying to spoil the whole story. But, we did get a trailer and a look at the new five-star characters, Evernight (or as I call her “Scary March”) and Dan Heng: Permansor Terrae. Both look like they’ll be amazing additions to players’ rosters. Evernight seems powerful, and Dan Heng is taking his role as the guardian of the Astral Express very seriously.
Evernight’s banner is up first, along with the return of The Herta. That banner will drop with the update on September 24. Dan Hen: Permansor Terrae will become available in the second banner, along with the return of Anaxa. Speaking of which, there was a big, though not unexpected, announcement during the stream. Dan Heng: Permansor Terrae is officially a free character and available to claim starting October 15. To receive him, players need to have a Trailblaze level of at least 3. They’ll then be able to claim the character as well as enough materials to level him to 60.
The stream also highlighted the new version’s events. Some, players are familiar with. But there is one new one. Anaxa has tasked the Trailblazer with watching a dromas egg. (That means he likes us, right?) One thing it does mean is that everyone foolishly seems to think the Trailblazer will be good at parenting. But, hey. Baby dromas. Very cute.
Oh, yes, and for everyone waiting on it. The promised main story replay function will be available when Version 3.6 drops. The function will allow players to replay the main storyline, continuances, and companion missions. The function will also allow players to rewatch their favorite cutscenes. This will be great for those of us who sometimes misremember things – or forget about something altogether.
