You might have missed it this weekend, but the latest Honkai: Star Rail Special Program took place early Saturday, providing players with information about the F2P action RPG's upcoming Version 3.5 update, “Before Their Deaths”. This is the midway point in the Amphorus story. The Chrysos Heirs have all left the stage, with the exception of Phainon, who has turned the role of “Deliverer” over to the Trailblazer and set off on an even more destructive (for now) path.
The Trailblazer is preparing to change things in the past with the help of Cyrene. Dan Heng has gone with The Herta and Screwllum. And March 7th has found her way to Amphoreus. But it looks like she and Den Heng are undergoing some changes. Based on their appearances, someone is going to regret running into them.
If you’re wondering, it seems that both these forms will be new five-star characters. According to tweets on the Honkai: Star Rail account, both take on the roles of Chrysos Heirs. Den Heng – Permansor Terrae guards the Earth’s Coreflame while March 7th hides the Coreflame of Time. (Yes, the Trailblazer also claimed the Coreflame of Time, but… You know… circular time shenanigans and all.)

As the story is taking the Trailblazer into the past, it’s only natural that they meet some people from Amphoreus’ history. Two of these characters will be making appearances on upcoming banners. We’ve seen them before, the ocean-themed Hysilens, who, it seems really does come from the ocean, and the holder of the Coreflame of “Law”, Cerydra, who once sat on the throne in Okhema. Details about both their kits are available in the Special Program below.
Don’t worry, there’s not a lot in the way of spoilers in this. In fact, even the trailer avoids dialogue. So, you’ll have to run with what we already know and make guesses from there. Or, you can just wait til the update drops on August 13.
