Today, HoYoverse announced a closed beta test – otherwise known as a “coziness” test for it’s recently announced life sim, Petit Planet. The free-to-play anime-style life sim game takes the cozy creativity of games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley to the stars, where players will nurture their very own planet and build connections to others. Players will start out on their own planet, designing the perfect little home and as they explore they’ll connect with neighbors on other planets to continue accumulate a resource known as “Luca” that helps shape the planet.
As with most cozy games, Petit planet will feature farming and harvesting, fishing, hunting for collectible items, cooking, and more. Players can take part in daily activities intended to increase their bond with the Neighbors who have moved onto the planet.
In addition to the AI companions, players will also be able to interact with other players via the game’s social features and multiplayers options. During the closed beta, players can meet up at the Galactic Bazaar, the game’s social hub. There they can have coffee, dance together, and take part in mini-games.
While HoYo is working to expand the platforms Petit Planet will be available on, the test will take place on PC and iOS. It kicks off on November 7. Those interested can sign up via the Petit Planet site.
