You might recall Mike mentioning this fact on a podcast during one of my rants about game names, but if you don’t, My.games decided to change the name of its tactical shooter Warface to… Warface: Clutch. The name change is official as of today and is included in the game’s latest update.
Of course, the update is more than just a name change. It’d be a bit silly to do otherwise. Today’s update is the start of the Northern Lights season. That means a new battle pass, new weapons, and new content – PvP, PvE, and Prestige.
Another change of note – perhaps bigger than the name change – is that players may now buy the battle pass using in-game currency. That’s a bit of a big deal for the more frugally-minded. During this season, players can earn winter-themed weapons to add to their arsenal.
Speaking of winter, the game’s Winter Fest begins on December 13, bringing with it a time-limited mode, and map. The mode is a King of the Hill game and will take place in the Trailer Park map. Players will want to spend time in this mode and on this map in order to earn Black Market Coins needed to buy event-specific weapons, cosmetics, and more.
