Over the weekend, Riot Games dropped a teaser on social media for a new “League Classic” game mode. What exactly the mode will consist of is unclear at the moment, as the video in question mentioned several different era’s throughout League of Legends' long lifespan. It could be one of those things. It could be none of them. My personal theory is that it mode will rotate through all the different periods in the free-to-play MOBA’s history giving fans of each time to revisit. It just feels like the best reason for them to spend a minute and a half listing them all.
The good news is that players don’t have to wait long to find out exactly what Riot has in mind. According to the tweet, the devs plan to reveal the detail durnig the Mid-Season Invitational. Players just need to be watching at 11:00 pm Pacific time to catch it. If you’re a League fan, you’ll probably be watching anyway.
So there you are. If you’ve been hearing League Classic rumors, it’s a real thing. You just have to wait to find out what it entails.
We've finally done it. We figured out a way to go back to the good ol' days. But can @RiotPabro get @RiotMeddler on board?
