A new indie-developed turn-based tactical PvP game will be dropoping on PC an Google Play on November 25. Titled Athelan Battlegrounds, the game is made by a small two-person team in Canada and puts players in control of intergalactic champions a lets them fight it out in different arenas. The game focuses on strategy and execution, deviating from a focus on progression. The devs aldo promise no pay-to-win.
At launch, the game will feature 5v5 and 10v10 PvP battle in which players use a roster of champions to fight on a game board. The game is designed to be easy for players to get into, but is intended to have enough depth for players who really want to dig into it. Of course, the players who put in the most effort learning the system will be the ones most likely to win.
As for the game’s other features, the game allows players to practice against AI opponents as well as creatue their own custom team formations. Players can also create their own tactical challenges. On the monetization front, Athlean Battlegrounds’ store sells cosmetics that have no impact on actual gameplay.
As mentioned above, the game will launch on PC via Steam and Google Play. A Steam Demo is available for download now.
