Update 0.2 is expected to hit Nightingale sometime next week, and with it comes some crafting changes intended to improve the player experience. Some of these changes are based on player feedback, while others are the devs continuing to fine-tune the crafting experience in Nightingale.
The most notable changes include the ability to stack attributes returning to the game, items will receive attributes from resources used in crafting, and the number of attributes have been consolidated and streamlined to make them more intuitive and valuable.
The first iteration of Attribute Stacking created some very OP builds and quite literally broke the game for some who were unable to log into their characters because of bloated profiles. However, the devs have listened to the players and are letting us stack attributes again more sustainably. The team plans on implementing a soft cap and hard cap to stats later on to encourage more variety in builds.
Advanced structures are getting their materials costs reduced as the team thought the costs were a bit high.
Combat changes include two new enemies out in the world; the Bound Aegis and the Bound Breaker. There are also changes coming to existing enemies including the Bound Darkweaver, which will now become invulnerable itself and buff the Bound it is linked to, instead of making that mob invulnerable.
New ranged options will become available to players particularly in the early game as there is a desperate lack of ranged options early on other than the slingbow. There will be throwing knives, grenades, and a blunderbuss.
Hot and cold resistance have been combined since players only typically deal with one at a time, but things like fire and ice resistance have been kept separate.
Overall these seem like some good changes for Nightingale and make a lot of sense as to why each one is happening.
