Today, the Zenless Zone Zero team shared their plans for the action RPG’s next update, Version 2.1, “The Impending Crash of Waves”. The update will continue the Proxies’ journey in Waifei Peninsula. But, as you can probably tell from the update title, the Proxies and their friends are also headed to the beach. Players will hang out with agents from the new Spook Shack faction: Ukinami Yuzuha and Alice Thymefield as they solve mysteries and help revive the oceanside Fantasy Resort. Even Overtimeboo is taking some time to relax.

Of course, a seaside trip means the Proxies and their friends will need to dress accordingly. So… New outfits! Once again, players will be given free outfits for Wise and Belle upon completing certain activities. (That's two outfits in as many updates.) If they’d like outfits for the two new agents, they’ll have to hit up the game’s shop.

Version 2.1 also includes a whole list of quality-of-life changes. This includes a more in-depth keybind system and better-organized agent and location menus. The full rundown of the update, which is arriving on July 16, is available in the Special Program below. And, of course, don’t forget to grab your codes. They’re good through July 6.

On an additional note, the teams from Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero will all be making an appearance at gamescom 2025. If you’re attending, look for them at Booth C031 in Hall 6.
