Whether you're swinging an axe or unsheathing a sword, Path of Exile 2 wants the sound to be unique and immersive. Today the folks at Grinding Gear Games released a video in which Sound Designer Kane Bennett and Composer Kamill Orman-Janowski talk about the sound and music of Path of Exile 2 during ExileCon 2023.

Along with the talk about the importance of sound and music in the upcoming ARPG game, you'll also get to see some clips of gameplay from Path of Exile 2 such as a few boss fights. The team worked on sound for 600 monsters and 100 bosses, which required hundreds of hours of recording.

An example of the lengths the team goes to to produce the sound for games includes Kane putting his face in a bowl of water with a banana skin in it to get the sound for a boss. That's dedication.
