Following a less-than-stellar reception of their last season update, Rainbow Six Siege is back with Year 9 Season 3: Operation Twin Shells, which introduces a new Greek Operator – Skopós – to the shooter. This new operator uses two remotely controlled combat gadgers named Talos and Colossus as well as the new PCX-33 rifle.
Skopós isn’t the only thing covered in the half-hour video. The devs also discuss the Siege Cup beta, balancing, AI, and more. The first topics they address are “player protection” and “player comfort”. These mostly cover Ubisoft’s anti-cheat system, banning times, and anything else related to keeping players from competing unfairly or simply being toxic.
Those who plan on competing in things like the Siege Cup will want to pay attention to the part where they discuss retroactive banning noting that those who won and have been found to be cheating will be banned – as you’d likely expect. That said, anyone on a team with them will no longer be able to access Siege Cup, so it’s a good idea to be careful when choosing teammates.
