The 32nd season of Star Trek Online — "Unparalleled" — is around the corner.
Set to release on May 28 for PC and June 19 for PlayStation and Xbox, this update to the MMORPG continues the ongoing Aetherian and Mirror Borg narratives — featuring new story content, events, and updates. Players can expect a new episode, "Situation Under Control," a brand-new task force operation named "Borg Battle Royale," and a seasonal event called "Delete Alt Control." Also, a gender and race change feature and updates to the Infinity Lockbox will be available.
The new Borg threat is enhanced with mysterious nanite technology, endangering the multiverse. Players will join forces with characters like Enterprise Captain Sela from a parallel universe and Aetherian ally Captain Grendat-Bex to defend the peaceful Iconians. Denise Crosby, famous for her roles as Tasha Yar and Captain Sela in the Star Trek franchise, will reprise her role as Captain Sela.
This new season introduces gameplay enhancements too, including a new ground task force operation that simulates battles against waves of Borg enemies and rewards players with experience and items. The "Delete Alt Control" event offers rewards like the Dimensional Hypermass Torpedo Launcher and Type 14 Shuttle Support Squadron. The Infinity Lockbox will include the T6 Aetherian Revelation.
