If you are the proud owner of a Switch 2 and you enjoy cozy games, then you’ll be excited to hear that Singularity 6’s free-to-play open-world cozy MMORPG Palia will be making the jump to the console in time for the holiday’s. The Switch 2 version will come with improved visuals, better performance, and makes use of the console’s Joy-Con 2 mouse controllers. It also introduces a new form of “cozy dungeon” known as Echo Expeditions.
These new dungeons will offer players new ways to progress in the game and give them a reason to party with friends. Players will work their way through multiple levels while taking on challenges, and cleansing “Echo manifestations” in the process. They can be done alone, so if you’re not the partying type, it’s okay. It’s also fine if you would rather not do the Expeditions at all, as they’re mostly optional and are intended to give players something new to do without taking away from the stuff they already enjoy.
That said, Singularity 6 does state that while the Echo Expeditions are a new addition, it’s something that’s been part of Palia’s plans for a while. So, for those who want the full game experience, it’s worth giving a try.
