Marvel Rivals has an enormous modding community, letting players customize fun aspects of their game such as adding different sound effects, Ultimate ability voice lines, and even changing the character models to iconic characters from pop culture or adding custom hero skin designs.
If you want to add some of these mods into your game to switch things up, we've got you covered with a list of the best options you absolutely can not miss. This list covers both popular characters and various hero model replacements and custom-designed hero skins alike.
Note: Mods should always be installed at your own risk. Marvel Rivals devs have stated that there is no official support for mods. However, thousands of users (including some of the most notable content creators) have been using mods since release, so long as they are client-side and replace harmless files such as character models and audio files; they generally pass through with no problems. However, any mods that alter gameplay settings, environments, or provide unfair advantages will most certainly get you a warning upon logging in, and even a ban if these mods are not promptly removed. Always thoroughly read each mod description and instructions for installation, as the process can differ slightly for some downloads.
Furthermore, on major game patches, mods often break temporarily. Some of the mods listed below may not function properly following a significant update due to the sheer amount of changes implemented. Luckily, it should only be a matter of time until the mods are updated by the creators and they become fully functional again.

Any My Hero Academia fan can recognize that Deku is loosely inspired by Spider-Man both in terms of his personal values and his power set. Black Whip, in particular, enables him to sling himself through the sky in the same manner as Spidey's webs. Now MHA fans can add this custom skin, referencing Deku's vigilante look from the anime/manga, otherwise known as 'Dark Deku'. The mod is created by GetJinxyed, but there's also an audio mod by FNaJMusicMan that replaces all of Spidey's voice lines with Deku's lines from the show, if you want more immersion.

Who better to use for a fun Mister Fantastic replacement mod than One Piece's Monkey D. Luffy? Just like Mister Fantastic, Luffy has elasticity powers, enabling him to stretch his limbs. He often uses them in punch attacks, which works perfectly for Mister Fantastic's gameplay in Marvel Rivals. This fun mod by HasB0 swaps the One Piece protagonist into the game, complete with a change to Gear 4 when he engages in his Ultimate ability.

Jinx has always been a popular character in the League of Legends franchise, but she gained even more interest through the amazing Arcane animated series, which featured her as a core character. Jinx enthusiasts can now use this amazing mod by 0xSaturn to play as Jinx in Marvel Rivals, with her character model replacing Black Widow. The mod is even complete with custom UX/UI, character icon, and audio/voice lines and sound effects.

This gorgeous custom Psylocke skin by ButchByte replaces Psylocke's default skin in-game with a new punk-themed look. Sai has a clean, stylish, almost streetwear-inspired outfit in a dark black color with fun bright pink and blue textures, splatters, and highlights. It suits her character really well, and despite being relatively simple, is hands-down one of the most satisfying custom skin designs available.

For those of you who missed out on the iconic Lady Loki skin, and have also been unable to obtain the newer beach edition Lady Loki skin...well, there's still an option through modding! User Alirica has added a third, original Lady Loki design, enabling players to play as Lady Loki via mods.
This mod does not recreate the already existing Lady Loki skins, as this would essentially give players paid skins for free, which is extremely unethical and problematic. Instead, the user has created a brand new design that replaces the default Lady Loki model, and even utilizes the same Lady Loki voice lines as the other two skins.

One of the most adorable mods on this list for sure is this Stitch mod for Rocket Raccoon, created by HallowSL. This mod takes one of Rival's fuzziest 'lil guys and replaces him with the iconic Experiment 626. Better yet, the alternate variant for Rocket's alt. color skin features the sandwich-loving Reuben.
Sadly, there doesn't appear to yet be an audio mod available to go alongside the Stitch model, which is a little disappointing, as his hysterical laughter and little growls would be hilarious to witness throughout each match, but this doesn't mean that one won't be added eventually. Spider-Deku, for example, didn't have voice options until another user created that mod to go alongside the skin, so perhaps the same will happen for Stitch as Rocket.

Any Naruto fans are going to absolutely love this series of Akatsuki mods, replacing several Marvel Rivals characters with members of the notorious villain organization. The mod series can be downloaded here either as a complete set or as individual files for the Akatsuki members that you like the most.
The set features Hela as Itachi, Paina as Magneto, Angela as Konan, Magik as Hidan, Gambit as Deidara, and Jeff the Land Shark as the world's cutest Kisame cosplayer ever.

If you enjoy the Akatsuki mods, then there's also this Sakura mod by the same creator, which replaces Mantis. Sakura has copped her fair share of hate from Naruto fans over time, but at the end of the day, she is a character who can both back a mighty punch and is proficient in healing Jutsu...so that does actually make her work as a Mantis replacer quite well! Plus, this is surely the beginning of a complete range of Naruto mods. Perhaps fans will be able to mod their game into 'Naruto Rivals' eventually!

Last, but certainly not least, we have this phenomenal custom hero skin design by Leonaura, featuring a Spirit Spider suit for Spider-Man. There are two variants available - a white/blue, and a gold/flesh option. While it doesn't yet have the iconic flames that Spirit Spider is usually seen with, the mod creator does plan to implement this feature eventually, so that's a bonus.
This mod creator actually really deserves a shout-out too; they have over 200 different mods for Marvel Rivals, most of which are character model replacements. There's something for almost every hero on the roster, featuring popular series such as BG3, My Hero Academia, Overwatch, Valorant, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Digimon, Resident Evil, and more.
