The First Descendant already sees players racking up the points in Season 1, but the last update to the looter-shooter was originally going to be broken into 3 pieces with the final piece coming in late October. After a bit of blowback from players, Nexon decided to merge the second and third part of the update into a single update and moved everything to October 10th.
We knew a few details about what to expect in the second update, but today the team has dropped the full details of the challenges and additions that await. Part of the news we already knew was the addition of the Ultimate Freyna Descendant and the backstory that goes with her. Looks like she's ready to unleash her previous traumas on her enemies care of a new Nightmare Dominator suit.
A few new modules will be introduced alongside of the new Death Stalker colossus Void Intercept.
"400% Infiltration Operations" come to The First Descendant, bringing the most difficult version of the content to date. Having a slew of extra enemies added to operations certainly will make things more challenging, but with great risk comes great reward. More foes falling means more rewards to trade to ETA-0 for items from their rotating shop.
There's a Halloween event coming, but we don't have much on that front yet. We know there will be decorations and skins, but that's it for now.
Finally, Resource Defense Special Operations will get a bit of a rework since players aren't playing them as much as other content. This is largely due to the content being longer and less rewarding. Expect changes to mobs, timing, and other aspects of the event.
Reactor Farming is getting WAY easier, too. You won't need to do it for every new weapon that needs an Ultimate Reactor anymore. Just implant a new Weapon Optimization Condition on the reactor you're using.
