Season 1: Invasion Coming To The First Descendant In Three Parts Starting On August 29th, Ultimate Freya On October 30th

Last week we received a bit of a sneak peek into the first season that Nexon had planned for The First Descendant, but it really was just some top level details. Now the shooter is dropping the full details of everything "Invasion" will be adding to the looter-shooter,. However, if you're waiting for particular pieces of content, you may have to wait longer than the season's August 29th launch date.

Those wanting to try out the new icy Descendant Hailey Scott don't have any extra time to wait out. You'll be able to earn (or buy) the Descendant right on the season's launch day. August 29th will also see the inclusion of the new Invasion Dungeon, Invasion Reinforcement season progression system that ups some of your stats throughout the season, and a new Excava Ultimate Weapon and battle pass.

If you're keen to jump into the new Void Intercept battle with the Death Stalker, grab the Frost Walker Ultimate Weapon, or check out the new Ultimate skins or spawn effects, those aren't coming until "part 2" of the season on September 26th.

In the final 3rd part of the season update we get Ultimate Freyna and all her content (including backstory missions), modules, the highest difficulty Infiltration Operations, and ETA-0 visits to sell you exclusive blueprints and items with a special currency. This final update won't come to The First Descendant until October 30th, though.

There's also a few basic improvements coming on August 29th including a revamp to Void Fragments/Shards making them easier to farm and use in the Fusion Reactor, Hard Infiltration Ops matchmaking improvements, a few balance adjustments to some Descendants, and a few UX changes.
