The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls Online is optimized for the Xbox X|S, so if you're on one of those consoles you should see some increased performance, but the game is also available on Xbox One. ESO is full of exploration, dungeon running, raids, and a large open world where you can go anywhere at any level.

Warframe

Warframe is a fast-paced shooter with plenty of classes to collect and choose from. While the game's roots are as a corridor shooter, there have been updates that add open-world elements to the game, making it even more like a true MMO.

Black Desert Online

Neverwinter was seemingly made for a controller. The MMORPG's action combat mixed with instanced content and large campaign additions can keep players busy for hours. Plus it's set in a D&D world that will feel familiar to many players with classes that reflect some characters you may have rolled up in the past.

Elite Dangerous

If exploring space is your thing, I'd recommend checking out Elite Dangerous. It's the kind of game that makes me want to order an expensive flight stick and just fly around the galaxy on my ship. 

Star Trek Online

Speaking of exploring space, Star Trek Online does that as well and does a good job of it too. With episodic missions that tell an overarching story, STO does a great job of giving you the feeling of being in Starfleet.

DC Universe Online

DC Universe Online lets you create your very own superhero with tons of customizations for the look and powers of your hero. Take on the like of Batman or Superman as your mentor, then go out and take it to crime with others who are just looking to fulfill their superhero fantasies.

Destiny 2

Like ESO, Destiny 2 is optimized for those playing on the Xbox X|S. Destiny 2 has garnered a lot of success over the years and continues to be the top looter shooter on the market today. Grab some friends and shooty shooty till your heart is happy.

Trove

Available on: Xbox One, X|S Compatible

I've recently been playing a lot of Trove again, and its cute voxel world continues to draw me in. There are a ton of classes to choose from, each with its own skill set, plus you can choose another class as a subclass and get bonuses depending on which you pick. Explore, conquer, build. That's Trove.
