Top 5 MMORPGs Nobody Is Noticing

These MMORPG games are flying under the radar for whatever reason. Whether it be marketing, or being overshadowed by other bigger games, these MMOs are going unnoticed by the majority of the MMO player base. Let's shine a little light on these games, and who knows, maybe you'll find a new game to try.

Mad World

Mad World remains one of my favorite MMOs to casually dip in and out of occasionally. It's browser-based, which I'm sure turns a lot of people off, but there is a small client download you can try if playing in the browser is that big of a turn-off for you. This MMORPG is dark, charismatic, and more interesting than half of the generic fantasy MMOs out there, and more people should pay attention to what it's doing.

Secret World Legends

Sadly updates for Secret World Legends seem to be all but dead, however, the game offers a truly unique gameplay experience in the MMORPG genre with stories and puzzles that few other games offer. The world is immersive and full of myths and legends that you as the player get to experience firsthand. If you haven't played Secret World Legends I'd recommend at least trying running through it one time to experience everything this unique game has to offer.

Mortal Online 2

Full open-world PvP and a sandbox experience set Mortal Online 2 apart from most other MMOs in the genre. While I did not have a positive experience in the game, players came to its defense and argued that I missed the point of the game. While I'd argue they are missing the point of playing a good MMO, it remains true that Mortal Online 2 goes pretty much unnoticed by a large majority of players who might enjoy a sandbox full-loot PvP experience.

Skyforge

When was the last time you heard anything about Skyforge? I know it's been a while since we covered the game. Being free-to-play and on Steam would usually garner a lot more attention than Skyforge gets. Perhaps it is the repetitive nature of the missions in the game or the fact that you have to grind to unlock a class you might be looking forward to playing. Whatever the reason Skyforge flies under the radar.

Lord of the Rings Online

Lord of the Rings Online has introduced a whole new class to the game, yet I feel that the hype for such a big moment just isn't there. The Corsair looks like it could be a lot of fun, yet not many folks are talking about it or the update. I think LOTRO could always use some more attention for its Middle Earth adventures, so I'm putting it on the list.
