You Can Tell We’re Almost To The Launch Of Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 7.2 Because The Moogle Treasure Trove Is Returning

As is always the case with a roll-up to a Final Fantasy XIV patch, the devs are giving us something to keep us busy until Patch 7.2 drops in late March. While Square Enix hasn’t stated a specific launch date yet, obviously opting to wait until they do the second half of the Live Letter for the update, between knowing it’s slated for late March and the fact that the Moogle Treasure Trove kicks off next week on February 26, we can make a pretty solid guess. As the Treasure Trove typically lasts about four weeks, we’re probably looking at March 25.

The event kicks off in the MMORPG at 12:00 a.m. Pacific on February 26 and will run until Patch 7.2 drops. As is the standard now, there are four different types of objectives: Standard Objectives, Weekly Objectives, Minimog Challenges, and Ultimate Challenges. Depending on how you prefer to go about it, you can collect Irregular Tomestones by spending all your time in duties or by hanging out on the fishing boats or in the Gold Saucer. Completing the Weekly and Minimog challenges – which are also weekly – will earn you a larger sum of Tomestones in one go. Of course, the Ultimog Challenge will give the most Irregular Tomestones but can only be completed once and will take some definite effort.

As for what you can pick up with the tomes this time, the Shadow Gwiber is up for grabs, as are two Kamuy mounts. The list includes gear, minions, other mounts, emotes, and more. You can find the full list in the announcement on the Lodestone.
