The narrative follows three heroic explorers wandering a post-apocalyptic desert to save their village from despair. They encounter a dark, twisted tower risen from the planet's depths that appears to hold the key to their survival. To ensure victory, one explorer makes a secret pact with Epimetheus, the Titan of Death, allowing them to reincarnate until the mission is accomplished. The story focuses on themes of friendship and sacrifice as the heroes build courage to protect the weak against giants. Players switch between Arias the fighter, Kyuli the rogue, and Algus the wizard to utilize their unique skills and weapons. Each character offers different abilities that help progress through the game and find weaknesses in various creatures. The roster includes battles against a large assortment of enemies, giant monsters, and epic bosses where choosing the right hero is essential. Progression involves upgrading characters' abilities and changing destiny through deals made with Epimetheus to embrace death as a stepping stone. Collecting artifacts like the Sword of Mirrors bestows new abilities and opens further possibilities for the party. Campfires allow players to save progress, change characters, and discover details about the heroes' pasts. The game offers hundreds of rooms to uncover, providing hours of challenging exploration with numerous unlockables and secrets. The main story takes approximately 11 hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to around 16 hours. A completionist run can last up to 20 hours as players seek all available content. An exciting soundtrack composed by Matt Kap spans over 30 pieces of chiptune music throughout the experience. The MacOS version was noted as being available soon after the initial release.
