Chef: A Restaurant Tycoon Game is a managerial and simulation title developed by Inner Void and published by Digital Tribe Games, released on August 19, 2020. The single-player experience lets you start with limited funds and a small restaurant before rising to become a world-famous chef. You can choose between a sandbox mode where every decision shapes your gastronomic empire or a story mode filled with challenging scenarios. Your establishment might evolve into a steakhouse, a vegan paradise, a pasta palace, or an experimental cooking lab depending on your choices. Players create a custom avatar and progress through six distinct skill trees that unlock over 100 different abilities. Full restaurant management includes selecting the location and layout, hiring staff, designing menus, and setting policies for the business. Every aspect of the interior is customizable with more than 150 variations for floors and walls alongside over 200 appliances and decorations. The realistic recipe editor allows you to combine available skills and ingredients to create dishes rated by taste and aroma. You can specialize in meat or seafood, adopt a vegetarian or vegan approach, or serve spicy and exotic options as the world reacts accordingly. The main story runs for approximately 25 hours while including extras extends playtime to around 60 hours. Completing all aspects of the game requires about 99 hours of gameplay.
