About
Dropsy: Warm Damp Hug Edition is an indie adventure game published by Devolver Digital and developed by Tendershoot, A Jolly Corpse. The title was released on September 10, 2015, and features single-player gameplay. Players control Dropsy the Clown, a character who remains perpetually carefree despite facing difficult circumstances. The story follows Dropsy after a deadly circus fire damages his reputation and leaves him searching for redemption. His father is gravely ill while the world turns against him, forcing him to help those in need and hug strangers. Along this winding road, he unearths dark secrets within a richly detailed world filled with colorful characters. The game presents a non-traditional approach to the point and click adventure formula by allowing players freedom in their choices. Dropsy can communicate with animals as he explores sinister secrets while doling out hugs along the way. The narrative harnesses themes of love and unmerited kindness throughout its progression.
