About

New Cycle is an indie strategy and simulation title published by Daedalic Entertainment and developed by Core Engage. The game was released on January 18, 2024, and offers a single-player experience focused on survival within a city building framework. Following an apocalyptic series of solar flares that disrupted human society, players must establish a settlement from humble beginnings. The goal is to develop this community into an industrial metropolis over time. Settlement construction allows for both free form and grid-based design approaches to expansion. Players seek, gather, and produce resources to advance their civilization through various stages of development. As the settlement grows, more advanced methods from the past are re-discovered to enable large-scale production of goods. The hostile world presents challenges including sand storms, shortages, wildfires, and other natural disasters that require quick action. In addition to environmental threats, the game includes refugee crises, unrest, disease outbreaks, and a long list of other difficulties. These elements combine to create a demanding environment where preparation and readiness are essential for success.
