About
Infernax is an indie action RPG and adventure game developed by Berzerk Studio and published by The Arcade Crew. It was released on February 14, 2022, offering players a choice between single-player or multi-player experiences. The co-op mode allows you to play with friends or join a support character named Cervul the squire. The narrative follows a great knight returning to his homeland, which has been plagued by unholy magic. You must uncover the mysteries of the curse and face the consequences of your actions throughout the journey. The game offers multiple endings that depend on the decisions you make during play. Players can level up their character to tailor the experience to their liking while buying new items and unlocking skills. Your quest involves reversing the corruption by finding and destroying its source through any means necessary. You will encounter ruthless creatures, dangerous beasts, and face challenging castle-dungeons filled with boss battles. The open world is described as dangerous and unique, containing many secret areas to uncover. Be prepared for gory encounters as you navigate this environment. The main story takes approximately seven hours to complete, while the main story plus extras extends to nine hours. A completionist playthrough requires about seventeen hours to finish all available content.

From the moment you step onto these demon-infested lands to the moment you deal the killing blow to the game’s final boss, you’ll experience plenty of surprises – the Konami Code does something really cool, for example. Infernax’s retro soundtrack that rips from start to finish, beautiful art, challenging gameplay, and a fun Castlevania-inspired design, make it worth the price of admission.
