The game covers the European theatre of the Second World War with mechanics that model unit movement, combat, spotting, encirclements, weather, and equipment capture. Players can choose to lead any major power in this conflict while utilizing over 1000 unique units that have been individually modeled and animated. The campaign structure includes around 60 scenarios for the main story, with an additional 10 single-player missions and another 10 designed specifically for balanced multiplayer matches. An advanced random map generator supports Skirmish mode by offering six distinct map types and four mission types.
