About
Patron is a survival city builder developed and published by Overseer Games, released on August 10, 2021. The game focuses on single-player gameplay where players construct residential houses, farms, production plants, and manufacturing buildings to harvest resources. You will build your fledgling village into a prosperous city as you upgrade structures and establish sustainable production chains. The experience expands beyond standard genre staples by introducing intricate social dynamics and a large research tree. Happiness functions as a complete gameplay system rather than a simple feature, requiring players to manage individual citizen needs and desires. Some citizens are more concerned with immigration, while others are aggravated by tax-related issues or other specific problems. If the citizen's view on a subject aligns with what the town government is doing, they will be happy. Every decision made as Patron meets different reactions from various social groups regarding religion, immigration, loyalty, poverty, and safety. You must balance these sensitive matters to avoid unforeseen consequences that may arise years later. Managing tasks efficiently allows you to adapt to external variables like harsh weather or changing seasons. The world is constantly changing, so advancing at the proper pace through research ensures your society can stand the test of time. Unexpected tragedies can always strike your people regardless of your actions, and they will look to you for protection and help. People also require external signs of success, so you should build beautification elements and reward citizens for their hard work. The main story takes approximately 13 hours to complete, while the full experience with extras extends to about 18 hours. A completionist run through all content requires roughly 19 hours.Read moreShow less
