About
Pray Game is an indie action RPG developed by U-ROOM and published by Kagura Games. The adventure began its run on September 22, 2023, as a single-player experience set in the fantasy world of Anatol. Players assume the role of Alcy, who wakes up on this mysterious island after being attacked just before graduation. Her survival depends on navigating a system where leaving requires passing a Cell examination tied to her magical device. The core gameplay loop involves battling dangerous monsters and gathering materials while managing a strict time limit. Since the game features a countdown timer, players must move quickly to escape before their opportunity runs out. Success relies on befriending locals who offer unique powers that can be borrowed to overcome stronger foes. Venturing into untamed areas allows players to fight enemies and collect resources needed for progression. Economic management is part of the experience, as characters must find jobs to earn money for room and board. The narrative explores themes of trust and betrayal within a community where some individuals may exploit Alcy's compassion. Solving personal struggles for residents grants access to their strength, helping the protagonist face various challenges. The story questions whether it is better to maintain faith in others despite the risk of being betrayed. This title contains content that may not be suitable for all ages or appropriate for viewing at work. Purchasing the game on GOG.COM provides a censored version rather than the full unedited experience. For complete details regarding specific content warnings, players should visit the publisher's website directly. The total playtime varies significantly depending on how thoroughly one explores the world and completes optional objectives.
