About

Ys Origin is an action, fantasy, adventure, and RPG developed by Nihon Falcom Corporation and published by XSEED Games. The game was released on May 30, 2012, and offers a single-player experience. It combines exploration with a narrative set in the world of Ys. The story takes place 700 years before the events of Ys I and II, when demons threatened to destroy the land. Twin Goddesses were forced to move their subjects into the clouds to escape this danger. A massive tower was built by the demons to continue the battle above ground. The Goddesses eventually vanished into the night and headed toward the Devil's Tower. A group of knights and sorcerers formed a search party to retrieve the deities from that location. The team included apprentice knight Yunica Tovah and troubled sorcerer Hugo Fact. Players can expect screen-filling bosses during their journey through this setting. The game also features unique platforming elements alongside innovative puzzles. The main story takes approximately 11 hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to about 22 hours. Those aiming for a completionist run will spend around 35 hours with the game.
