Today, Albion Online introduced several new features with the Wild Blood update, including the ability to shape-shift using the appropriately named Shapeshifter Weapons. These weapons introduce a new form of combat to the game via the game’s ‘you are what you wear’ system.
Players aren’t just turning into creatures with this update, they’re also hunting them using the new open-world Tracking feature. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Look for animal tracks and hunt them down, traveling across regions to do it. When players finally find the creature, they’ll have to face them, and hopefully come out alive, earning new, magical rewards when they do so.
The update also includes Awakened items, which can be modified by adding new traits through Attunement. These Awakened items are persistent in the world, meaning they can be lost through combat and potentially reappear as rare loot.
Following this update, players can also now own multiple personal islands and link them to the biome of their city. Dungeons have new visuals. A Death Recap screen has been introduced, as well. Of course, there are several quality-of-life changes in the mix too.
