MMOBOMB
Jul 19, 2025
Clockwork Labs has released this week’s BitCraft Online update, following the newly unveiled 2025 roadmap.
The patch introduces several gameplay enhancements for the free-to-play sandbox MMO that's currently in Early Access, including a new structure — the Scrapping Bench. This untiered building allows players to deconstruct tools for scrap materials. Scrap can then be used to raise the rarity of tools without upgrading their tier, offering players more customization without progressing too quickly.
The developers noted that tool rarity balance is still under evaluation and that this system will expand to other types of equipment in future patches.
Another major addition is the introduction of a new pet type, the elusive Lusul. Unlike the more common owls, Lusuls are designed to be rarer and more interesting to discover, signaling the beginning of a broader plan to make pets more dynamic and meaningful. This aligns with the developers’ intention to make pets something players organically encounter rather than actively hunt.
Additional improvements include more hair color options and adjustments to crafting tiers. All of this comes as BitCraft Online nears its one-month anniversary in early access, maintaining a steady average of 2,700 concurrent players. Bigger features like player housing are still on track for next week’s major July 24 update.
