Blizzard Drops An Arachnid-Filled Lore Dump In The War Within Threads Of Destiny Cinematic

If you don’t like eight-legged creepers, you may not be excited to find out that the latest World of Warcraft The War Within cinematic is all about them. Specifically, it’s about the Nerubian kingdom of Azj-Kahet, its queen, her daughter, and the choices they make when Xal’atath comes to offer them a deal.

What do you do when your kingdom is suffering and someone offers you unimaginable power? Luckily, that’s not a decision most of us have to make. Although, the people who don’t get to make those decisions often suffer for them.

If you watch the cinematic, you’ll get to see that decision be made, so it may deserve a spoiler warning – although Blizzard didn’t put one up. They did however put a content warning for arachnophobia, just in case you’re squeamish about that sort of thing. (No judgment, I’m terrified of encountering them in real life.)

In additional WoW news, Mythic+ updates dropped in the MMORPG’s latest beta test today. The test includes item level adjustments and tweaks several other things. The full list of changes can be found on the Blizzard forums.
