Retailers are reportedly canceling Radeon RX 9070 XT pre-orders, then subsequently raising the price of the cards. AMD's chief architect of gaming solution and marketing Frank Azor confirmed that the company is working with AIBs to replenish stock while "MSRP pricing (excluding region specific tariffs and/or taxes) will continue to be encouraged."
In our RX 9070 XT review, we praise the new GPU as one of the best graphics cards, capable of beating the RTX 5070 "at just about everything, including ray tracing" and even bestowed it with our Excellence award. As AMD looks to regain its footing in the GPU market, this latest stock hiccup is frustrating customers, leading to intervention from the brand on pricing.
