The latest update has arrived for Embark Studios’ F2P FPS, The Finals, and it’s just as showy as the rest of the game. Update 7.7.0 brings more style (and whimsy) to the game with a new outfit and a new grenade skin, the ÖRF BADOOM!
As can be seen in the video below, the skin turns the Mythic Frag Grenade into a cartoon-like plush cat, complete with a pull-string that can be used to make it talk. However, it seems like you’ll probably want to throw it almost immediately after pulling that string.
Also included in the update is the new Brancho Rising outfit. It’s everything you’d expect from a 90s martial arts movie – black and grey colors, an eye patch, and a long leather coat. The update also introduces a new stockless AKM skin that will probably go nicely with the new outfit.
Of course, any patch worth anything typically includes at least some improvements. In the case of this one, the devs have enabled spectator support in Cash Ball Private Matches. They do warn players that a bug is currently putting everyone in the same colored outfit, but stress that that shouldn’t have any real impact on being able to discern who is who.
On a final note, Embark has finally introduced a program for content creators. The program offers two tiers, allowing a wide range of creators to be able to take part. Those interested can sign up on the official website to gain access to exclusive sneak peeks and other perks.
