With the drop of Destiny 2’s last content update and the move into maintenance mode, fans of the game will likely find themselves spending more time in other games. One such game, which already has a good bit of playerbase crossover with Destiny 2, is Warframe. So, it should probably come as no surprise that one of those players (probably more) asked Warframe creative director Rebecca Ford yesterday if a special Honoria (or title) could be created.
Ford’s response was a quick “yes,” saying, “we will figure something out as fast as we can for this <3 good idea, stay tuned!” Later in the day, she was back with the news that on June 17, Warframe players would be able to do an Alert on Telesto and receive the “Make Your Own Fate” Honoria.
As MassivelyOP points out, the location of the Alert, Telesto, is a reference to a fusion rifle in Destiny 2, while the phrase “Make Your Own Fate” is a line often used in the shooter. The original request from the player was for a “Guardian of Destiny” title, which would have definitely made more sense to those who never played Bungie’s shooter. But, I have to say, this feels as though the devs put some real thought into it before making a decision. (Not that the original request was bad. It was pretty sensible.) It’s obviously also nice that the Warframe team was so quick with the turnaround on this one.
