Wargaming, developer of all things war strategy games is busying itself with new content for the World of Warships November update 14.10. Today, the team decided to offer players a look at what they’re working on – although the post highlighting the new features does note that these things are not guaranteed. They could change in some way or be removed entirely. Still, when a dev feels comfortable enough teasing content, there’s a pretty good chance it will at least make it into the game, even if it’s different in some way from what they originally tease.
Today’s post highlighted three features. The first is likely the most important – the Temporal Rift battle type. This is a temporary battle type that moves “future missile armament tech” into the past. The battle type consists of two consecutive operations in which players need to either break through or defend defense lines on “massive maps”. Players will be able to choose where they respawn if they die, a feature that’s likely intended to compensate for the size of the maps in question.
Other additions teased in the post is the “Assisted in destruction” Ribbon and a unique Commonwealth Commander. The ribbon is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a way to recognize players who assist in taking down an enemy ship, even if they didn’t deal the final blow. As for the commander, John Augustine Collins of Australia is being introduced as the Commonwealth nations first unique commander. He will come with enhanced aircraft armor and Adrenaline Rush skills in addition to two other talents.
