About
AK-xolotl is an action indie title published by Playstack and developed by 2Awesome Studio, released on September 14, 2023. This single-player game features top-down gameplay where players control an axolotl armed with an AK rifle. The core loop involves shooting down enemies while moving through various biomes and randomly generated rooms. Players can collect food items and capture baby axolotls during their rampage across the animal kingdom. The game utilizes a roguelike structure where characters regenerate health after being knocked down. Each fight allows players to unlock new weapons as they progress through the campaign. Captured baby axolotls, known as Axolittles, can be nurtured in a pond until they mature into fighters with special abilities. These grown-up Axolittles then join the player's roster to assist in future battles. The experience focuses on raising an army of these amphibians while utilizing their regenerative powers.
