About
Ambrosia is an indie RPG developed by Shimobashira Workshop and published by Kagura Games, released on January 29, 2021. The game features traditional turn-based combat within a single-player experience set in an open-ended fantasy world. Players can explore various locations while utilizing a quest system to progress through the narrative. The story follows Flode, an apprentice priestess who serves the God of Light, Leight, and travels to the remote island of Cerbes after being sent away from her home due to a local scandal. Upon arriving at the shrine she is tasked with managing, Flode must work and fight to earn enough money to survive on the isolated island. She also spreads the word of Leight and eventually befriends a monster woman before facing a dark turn when that friend is captured. To rescue her new companion, Flode must locate legendary treasures spread across the island despite initial difficulties. The main story takes approximately seven hours to complete, while playing through additional content extends the experience to about twenty-three hours. A note indicates that purchasing the game on GOG provides a censored version of the title.
