Now that the Scarlett Letter has been taken care of, things have calmed down a bit for players in Neverness to Everness. But, it looks like it won’t stay that way for long as Blackbird needs Zero’s help. She received a mysterious letter from someone begging for assistance. But the letter had no details on where to go and even with divination and the help of the Yggash Court, Blackbird still can’t tell where the people who need help are. This means she has to leave the Witch’s House (which she rarely does) and travel to an unknown place. So, she’s asked Zero to accompany her. The trip will take players to a new area, the location anomaly: St. Arbor. The area gives off a Medieval fantasy vibe, based on what they decided to share in the stream.
The devs didn’t share much beyond what we’ve told you here. They did, however, state that the free-to-play action RPG’s story will be rolled out in two parts in this version.
As you’ve probably guessed (or saw in leaks on social media) Blackbird is due to become a playable character in this update. She’s an S-Rank character with a Psyche Esper Attribute who uses a Gas-type Arc. Her ultimate is a transformation ability that changes her into the many-winged “Witch of Deliverance” form and allows her to execute a completely different set of abilities. And yes, you’re going to have to fight the Debt Collector… again… to level her up. In the open-world she can transform into a bird to fly around.
In the second half of the 1.4 update, rocker girl Acane will return along with the other members of the “Whoots!!!!” with a continuation of the band’s story. Acane is also the game’s newest S-Rank character. She’s a Main DPS character with the Lakshana Esper Attribute who uses a Liquid Arc.
Blackbird will be available to roll on when Version 1.4 drops on September 30 and Lacrimosa will be making a return. Acane’s banner will be available the second half of the update.
In addition to the new anomaly zone area, Version 1.4 will finally open an area that players have been waiting on since the game launched. That’s right, Pukaland is opening. The park features 4 different zones with attractions and mini-games. Players will earn special tokens for engaging with the attractions. One area features a headge maze and a huanted house. Another has a roller coaster and an old west town. The other areas are the entrance with all the shops and the castle at the very back. Players will receive a special guide to help them navigate the park and earn special rewards. To celebrate Pukaland’s opening, players will receive special freebies, including 10 Solid Dice, an avatar frame, 2M Fons, and a special outfit for Akane. The Dice and avatar frame will be available after the update on Sept 30 and the Fons and outfit will be available after the Oct 21 update.
Players will be happy to know that the open-world anomaly commissions have returned. The update will also introduce a limited-time tower mode with 1,000 floors. Every 10th floor will be a challenge floor. A new PvP mini-game will be introduced as well, as will a tower defense-style mini-game.
On the fashion front, the devs are now introducing a new category: accessories. This is in addition to the ability to remove certain items from existing outfits. Players who missed out on the Porche last time will have the opportunity to pick it up with the returning collab event that carries over rolls from the last one. At the same time a new box banner will offer the opportunity to pick up two other Porches.
On the QoL front, a new program is being added to City Tycoon. The Puka Membership Program will offer a selection of rewards for leveling it up, including two S-Class standard character selection boxes and an S-Class Arc Selection Box. This is also where Baicang will finally get an outfit. Several other changes are being made as well.
As always, the devs shared some redemption codes throughout the stream. These are: WITCHHOUSE, THEWHOOTS, PUKALANDGOGO.
